Missions - Egypt
Being an Evangelical Christian in Egypt is illegal. Our brothers and sisters are
not allowed to gather publicly to worship the LORD Jesus Christ. Even saying
His name in public is illegal.
The Evangelical Church faces persecution from:
Muslims - (83% of the population) who deny and violently oppose the
deity of Jesus Christ
“Christians”, the Coptic Orthodox Church - (16% of the population) who
are bound by the traditions of men that make the Word of God of no
effect and oppose the Gospel of Grace.
Hence, our brothers and sisters meet in (illegal) house churches to praise,
pray, and study the Word of God. Calvary Chapel Ahwatukee supports our brothers
and sisters in prayer and we financially support the ministry and the planter
of these house churches. We also visit our brothers and sisters to encourage
them and to teach the Word of God.
